ULTRASTOR® Increases Storage Density with 4TB Disk Support
Enhance Technology Announces 4TB Disk Support on Popular ULTRASTOR System Models with Capacity Options up to 1 Petabyte Within a Single Storage Platform
SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA – Enhance Technology, Inc, a developer of SAN, RAID and NAS storage solutions for critical business applications, announced today the certification of 4TB SATA and SAS drive models for use with the company’s popular UltraStor, EnhanceRAID and Proavio storage brands. The addition of 4TB hard disk drives on Enhance Technology’s professional desktop and rack-mount lines will provide customers with greater capacity options for applications that consume large amounts of storage space. The update will include new 32TB desktop models on the popular Proavio EB800 series and up to 1PB on the award-wining Ultrastor ES family - with a 240TB model available later this quarter.
“After a long and thorough validation process, we have certified a number of 4TB drive models including Western Digital WD4001FYYG Nearline SAS in our Enterprise-class systems and Hitachi HGST 7K400 Deskstar & Ultrastar SATA drive models across our desktop brands. 4TB drive options now give our customers a huge capacity boost for growing storage needs" said Luis Rodriguez, for Enhance Technology. "With an increase in customers offering cloud-based IT services and the need for long-term, data retention, our 4TB models allow customers to meet capacity goals while reducing acquisition costs. In addition, growth in new markets such as 3D cinema and high resolution geophysical imaging create the perfect opportunity for customers to take 4TB-equipped solutions into serious consideration”.
Enhance Technology storage products along with 4TB disk combinations empower users with solutions that are both proven and scalable, up to 1PB, within a single storage platform. This amount of density results in significant cost savings through reduction of physical hardware and through the reduction of energy costs associated with operating multiple units to meet their capacity demands. "Enhance Technology is ready to help users leverage high capacity storage by providing affordable and qualified solutions designed to meet their data demands today and tomorrow." noted Rodriguez.
